The Training Course on Maritime Robotics in Blue Economy has started!

The Training Course on Maritime Robotics for Sustainable Blue Economy will run form 15-19 May 2023 in Trieste (Italy) at the premises of the university of Trieste – Piazzale Europa Campus.

The Italian National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics - OGS is taking part to European Interreg Adrion project MARBLE: Joint Master on Maritime Robotics in Blue Economy and is co-organizaing with the University of Trieste and MareFVG Cluster the upcoming Training Course on Maritime Robotics for Sustainable Blue Economy.

The main challenges tackled in this project are the need for intersectoral and technological skills in Blue Economy education and the lack of an international interdisciplinary sustainable-minded Master programme dedicated to Maritime Robotics in Blue Economy.

The Training will gather 125 students from the University of Zagreb, University of Sarajevo, University of Montenegro and Polytechnic University of Athens and the University of Trieste.

The course will propose networking activities such as the innovative “Trieste City of Science: Treasure Hunt” (produced by OGS with the collaboration of the White Cocal Press Studio). It will propose lectures and seminars as well as Hackathon Tutorials and Site Visits to the main relevant marine laboratories and maritime operators of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region territory.
